It seems like the West End can't get enough of this much-revived mega-musical. Two twins from Liverpoool, separated at birth, find each other later in life, only to find that they have as much in contrast as they do in common. Funny, angry, but ultimately endearing, this 25 year staple of London theatre has played at the Albery Theatre, the Lyric Theatre and for the past dozen years has performed to packed houses in London's Phoenix Theatre.

Chicago
London Theatre: The Adelphi Theatre
Ticket Prices: £15.00- £37.50
Nearest Station: Charing Cross Tube
Chicago tells the story of would-be chorus girl Roxie Hart and her efforts to turn murder charges against her into a bid for celebrity. With a score that includes the songs "All That Jazz," "Razzle Dazzle" and "All I Care About," Chicago manages to combine all the pleasures of an old-fashioned, well-made musical with a very modern brand of edgy cynicism. Winner of the 1998 Olivier Award for "Outstanding Musical Production," this sexy, stylish production has seen many cast changes since it opened in 1997 but has lost none of its captivating energy. Currently starring Linzi Hately as Roxie; Rolf Saxon as Billy Flynn, her corrupt attorney; Zee Asha as Mama Morton, her jail keeper; and Ruthie Henshall, who played Roxie in the original cast, as the scheming Velma Kelly.
